Hyphae Compute Exchange (HCX) is building a marketplace that puts available computing power to work for AI. We have developed a software stack that brings together high-quality, energy-efficient computing resources, so that companies can use AI to help their customers and grow their businesses.

Why we exist

AI demand is growing faster than new data centers can be connected to the grid. Meanwhile an enormous amount of high-quality, energy-efficient computing hardware sits idle for much of the day. We think the best first step is to use what already exists.

Our own estimate is that there are at least 10 million GPUs that can run our software, representing at least 3 gigawatts of compute that does not have to wait for a grid interconnection. This is our estimate, not a measurement of capacity that is available to customers today.
